“Owning our story and loving ourselves through the process is the bravest thing that we will ever do.” – Brené Brown
Reaching out for help is the first step to overcoming life’s most difficult challenges. Whether or not this is your first-time seeking therapy, I am here and ready to help. My goal is to create a safe space, free of judgement, where you feel comfortable to express your thoughts and feelings. You will find my style to be warm, empathetic, and nurturing.
I work collaboratively with individuals (ages 10+).
Areas of interest:
My approach in therapy is collaborative and integrative which means I will work with you and your unique needs to establish therapeutic goals, explore expression, and facilitate growth. In our sessions, I will offer various techniques and modalities to ensure our time together is most beneficial for you.
I draw upon the following therapeutic modalities:
As a registered psychotherapist, I am passionate about healing, self-discovery, and lifelong learning. I am a licenced member of the College of Registered Psychotherapists of Ontario (CRPO, License No. 11606). I received my undergrad degree in Social Sciences from the University of Ottawa. I also have my Bachelor of Education degree from the University of Ottawa. I am certified to teach in the Junior, Intermediate, and Senior divisions under my Ontario College of Teachers (OCT) license. I have eight years of experience teaching, counselling, and mentoring children, teens, and young adults.
The process in therapy is not a linear line, progress happens one step at a time. I am here to help you along your journey. To schedule an appointment or if you have any questions, please email andrea.s.ocp@gmail.com
