Ioana Lazarovici is a registered clinical psychologist with The College of Psychologists of Ontario. She provides psychological services to children, youth and their families, as well as to adults with developmental disabilities.
Areas of PracticeIoana Lazarovici conducts psycho-educational assessments with children and adolescents including assessing for learning disabilities, Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder, giftedness, and developmental delay/intellectual disability. She also provides assessment and treatment plans for adults with developmental disabilities. Her main area of expertise involves Autism Spectrum Disorder and Intellectual Disability.

Ioana has developed a special interest in working with children suffering from attachment disorder and their caregivers.
Ioana Lazarovici is committed to help her clients achieve their goals in the shortest period of time, while sustaining long-term results. She addresses the specific difficulties facing children and adolescents, including anxiety, depression, Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD) with evidence-based rational emotive and cognitive behavior therapy. Ioana Lazarovici also incorporates elements of child-centred play therapy when working with children. When indicated, she provides parent counselling as an adjunct to individual therapy.
Professional BiographyIoana Lazarovici completed her Graduate studies in Romania, where she practiced as a clinical psychologist for several years, working with children and adolescents with a variety of issues. She continued her studies in Canada, where she completed a Post-Graduate Program in Clinical Psychology at Sherbrooke University. During her graduate career, she also received a Graduate Certificate in Rational Emotive and Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (RECBT) through Babes Bolyai University, Romania and Albert Ellis Institute, NYC.
Ioana Lazarovici completed her internship and worked as a clinical psychologist at the Montreal West Readaptation Centre, where she gained invaluable experience working with children, adolescents and adults with autism spectrum disorder and intellectual disability. She currently works at the CHEO’s (Children Hospital of Eastern Ontario) Autism Intervention Program (AIP-EO).
